I was originally considering this:

C2D e6300 CPU
Gigabyte Ga-965p-s3 MOBO
OCZ 1GB DDR2 800 ram

Ive heard that if i buy an e4300 i can use lower quality RAM and acheive better overclocking results. Could i even go with 667?

1) Should i go with ddr2 667 and save some money, or stick with 800?
2) Should i stick with the e6300 or e4300?
3) What ram do you recommend?

How much do you want to spend on 1GB ram memory?

1)The difference in prices 800 vs 667 is not that big maybe 5 to 10 bucks. I would stick with DDR2 800 if you plan to overclock.

2)Which ever you pick will be fine. I personaly would go with e4300. Overclocks a bit better and easier due to its 9 multiplier.

3)See the above ?.

If you are planing to upgrade in future to one more 1GB stick then stick with 1GB for now. If not i would go with 2x 512mb so that it runs in dual channel.

Stick with Corsair, Patriot, G-Skill. Here are couple of ram memory that you might be intrested in.

Patriot eXtreme 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) - $128.00

G.SKILL 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) - $100.00

This RAM has had good success overclocking -- I've seen posts of perfect stability at 450 5-5-5-15. Shoot, it defaults to 333 MHz so it's guaranteed to get an E4300 to 3Ghz should the CPU handle it (vs only 2.4 on an E6300).

And it's 2GB for $120. You cannot beat that. I thought the store was a no-name, but look at resellerratings.com, they're right up there w/ NewEgg.
