I'm going to be replacing my current mobo/proc shortly and I'd like a little help picking a good one. Here is my needs, wants and unimportants.

Needs

Socket 775
DDR2
SATA at least 4 preferably 6 or more
PCI-e I'd like 2 16x slots but I can live with 1
PCI at least 1

Wants

Fanless
PATA 1 port
SLI capability (notice this isn't in the need section and note I didn't say Xfire)

Unimportants

Overclocking (if I end up overclocking it won't be much)
Serial and parallel ports
Dual ethernet
Audio (got an X-fi)

That's all I can think of right now, any suggestions would be appreciated.

The EVGA 680i board is a great one, but I have heard the evga will be discontinued for a release of a better chipset.

As you stated you will not need a OC mobo.

Try the Gigabyte GA-965P-DS3.
A great mobo that offers performance as well as stability, unfortunatly it only supports 1 pci-e x16 slot, but it should do you well
