I forgot when it was bought but the date of manufacture on the label of the hard drive is 2015.
It is a spinning drive, I remember three years ago when I was assembling the drive I had accident by possibly shorting the circuit because it went wrong immediately, it had strange clicking noise, it took "forever" before it returned with error message, file and folders were seen but not accessible at all, and it wasn't able to copy or move or delete anything, I tried many times but at the end of the day it just didn't show up, otherwise than strange noise coming from it.
I was so desperate and then put it away in a hard drive case for a few years and yesterday I gave a try, it works! it works!!
Although some of the files still aren't accessible, but now, no clicking noise, no strange sound,
I am able to access most of the files, but yes, some might have been damaged so some of them
are still not accessible. However, many of the files can now be copied, the only weird thing is
the copying speed isn't normal, sometimes it would drop to 0kb/s and wait for a few minutes before going up again, but I am happy because I am now able to restore most of the files!!
Could a hard drive "heal" by itself?? What a wonderful world!
