Hi, I bought an SSD recently, and after installing it the System Reserved partition was 17 something gbs, so after shrinking that making it 101 mb (because I can't make it 100) I now have 17.38 GB unallocated, but when I right click on the SSD I can't "Extend Volume"... the option is grayed out. How would I go about this?

Solution
Hey there, Tomzen69.

You won't be able to extend the C: drive with that unallocated space via Disk Management. In order to be able to do that with Disk Management, the unallocated space should be right next to the partition you wish to extend and on the right side (not on the left as it is in your case). However, you could use a 3rd party partition management program and add the unallocated space to your C: partition.
Note that before you start messing up with the partitions, I'd recommend that you backup any important files which you might have on that drive, just to be on the safe side.

Hope that helps. Please let me know how it goes.

Solution
Boogieman_WD pretty much answered the question.

Just to add what he said, this tool should do what you need: http://www.partitionwizard.com/ but remember to back up your data before resizing partitions as things can go wrong (although I have never had a problem).

I changed it using some voodoo magic, and now my System Reserved is 100 MB and I can extend my C: however when I try to I get this:

Should I not do this and do it some other way?-- Yes I'm on a different account.
