Some PM's sent don't appear in the sentbox?

Is there a reason why some PM's that you send don't save to your sentbox? If someone PM's me and I reply, then my reply goes to the sentbox. If however, I click on the user and hit "PM", I seem to have no copy. Bizarre....

Are you sure they are not in your outbox? The outbox in an area where if the recipiant has not read your PM you can still edt/delete the PM. As soon as the recipent opens the PM then it is moved to your send items,
