I have my backup on a USB HDD and the Macrium rescue media on a USB flash drive...

What should the partition and filesystem be for the Backup drive (USB HDD) ? MBR/GPT FAT32/NTFS ?

What should the partition and filesystem be for the bootable rescue drive (USB Flash Drive) ? MBR/GPT FAT32/NTFS ?

Many Thanks

Solution
For the drive where the Image is stored, it does not matter.
My images are stored on a Linux based QNAP NAS, EXT4, I believe.

I can move any of those Images to a regular Windows NTFS system, no problem.
Or recover directly from the NAS.

The RescueUSB...let Macrium create what it needs. FAT32.

For rescue BOOT USB, it's MBR/Fat32, If you let MR format USB before making rescue USB, that's what it will set. Make sure you enable both options under "USB Rescue Media options" so it's usable on all types of BIOS/UEFI.
Note that space on USB is still usable to store files up to 4GB.
Disk that .mrimg file is stored on has to be GPT if above 3TB and NTFS format.
