Some questions about the 1050 TI.

I heard about the 1050TI being released, and decided that's the card I need, but I have a few problems.

My case is a low profile case - AreoCool QS-102 I heard the gpu is low profile but in the pictures I still thing my case may be too small, now most people would just say get another case, but that would mean a new PSU also, as my current PSU is a low profile one, built for this case.

My PSU is a 400 watt low profile power supply. There is no 6 pin connector like most power supplies and having a quick look online, I found most of the 1050TI's needed a 6 pin connector.

I read an article online - in fact it was on this site - about the 1050ti and it stated some of the board parteners will be making 1050ti's w/o PCI power. that must mean that the wattage needed to power the cards with PCI power (this is getting confusing) cant need much over 75watts - 75 Watts is the maximum a PCI card can take straight from a pci slot.

Does this mean I can use a MOLEX to PCI 6 Pin or a SATA power to PCI 6 Pin (or another variation) ?????

Thanks for the help, much appreciated

even cards with 6 pin power connector build in the power consumption will not going to get much higher than 75w. take MSI 1050Ti Gaming X for example. despite the card being equipped with 6 pin the power consumption still around 75w:

board partner put that 6 pin power connector for a few reason: for better overclocking stability or they can draw most of the power from the power connector to minimize the burden on motherboard. in the end that 6 pin is just another design decision board partner can take. don't think too much about it. if your PSU does not have 6 pin power connector you can try looking one without power connector. but if you end up getting one with 6...

but the issue with you right now most likely you're going to need low profile 1050ti. i haven't seen one yet but i believe they will be available later.

If a PSU doesn't have a single six-pin using adapters is probably not a good idea...

yes it will depends on how good the PSU quality as well.

Yeah considering even some OEM PSUs have 6-pins I wouldn't assume its safe to use at all with any graphics card.
