Some USB 3.0 ports running slow?

Hello,

I just built a mini itx pc using the Asus H97I plus. For wifi i'm using the Netgear AC1200 usb 3.0 adapter for my 60mbps internet.
When I plug the adapter into the usb 3.0 port under my mouse port I get 56mbps, works great.
However, when I use the other 3.0 ports on the motherboard my speed drops to 16mbps. It seems the other ports are running at 2.0 speeds.

Check your motherboard manual to see how the ports are wired...

Do you have to wire them? They are the ports on the back of the motherboard where the I/O shield covers.

I meant to find out how are they connected to the chipset somehow...
