Some USB devices disconnecting and reconnecting infinitely

Hi,

I have a problem with some USB devices that keep disconnecting and reconnecting, (External HDDs, Pen Drives, USB Video Capture)
I´m using a USB keyboard and mouse and both work, the disconn/reconn only happens with the External HDD, Pen Drive and USB Video Capture.

The problem is, i plug the device, the windows 7 recognize the device and installs, and then after a few seconds it starts disconnecting and reconnecting infinitely till i unplug manually, and sometimes after some disco/recon the windows says the device was not recognized and not installed.

I tried using windows 7 in safe mode to test the "problematic" devices and the External HDD and the Pen Drive worked without any problem, (the usb capture cannot be used in safe mode)

Any idea what is causing this?

Try going to the windows updates and see if you have any updates.
