Hello everyone,

Have been trying to install a new graphics card into my new computer. It is an Asus CM1745 Desktop Series computer and it has Radeon HD Graphics on board. I am running Windows 8, have a 500 watt power supply I upgraded and the computer runs perfectly fine. Now, My question is after I turn the computer off and install the new graphics card, A Galaxy Geforce GT 640, and power everything back on, the monitor says there is no connection. I thought at first the older video card I had was defective so I went out and bought this one, but now this new card is giving me the same problem. Can anyone help me out as to what I can do. I have tried entering the bios and there is nothing in there regarding gfx. Should I disable my onboard Gfx? If someone could help it would be much appreciated!

Confirming that your monitor is connected straight to the graphics card now and not to the motherboard? If so, connect the cable back to the motherboard (keeping the graphics card in) restart and load drivers for the graphics card.

If the cable is still connected to the motherboard, connect it to the graphics card
Hopefully, that'll get you going
