Something keeps minimizing my screen

I have a dual monitor setup and recently I've started having a weird issue and can't seem to figure out what's causing it. Let me try to explain.

If I'm typing on one monitor with nothing on the other it'll randomly click off and start making a beeping noise because I'm no longer typing in the field.

When I'm playing games it constantly minimizes to desktop so I've had to switch to windowed mode so that when it does this, it doesn't actually minimize, just goes in the background which is still annoying because if I'm sweeping to the right when it happens I'll end up on my other monitor.

Now when it does this, nothing is actually popping up so I'm not even sure what to look for. It does it not matter which monitor I'm on either. I've been running this setup for over a year and never had any issues.

PC Specs just in case:
NZXT Phantom 410 CA-PH410-R1
GIGABYTE GA-Z68XP-UD4
Corsair CX500
Intel i5 3570K
Antec Kuhler H2O 620 Liquid CPU Cooler System
Nvidia GTX 660
8GB DDR3 1333 RAM
1TB WD HDD

Anyone have any ideas?

Did you solve your problem?
I have the same issue. I changed the motherboard 3 times nowfor other problem but still I have this problem of windows going in background every 1-2 minutes.

new build...start with the motherboard bios make sure it updated. in the bios set the primany display to peg/pci. if your not going to use onboard video turn of muilt monitor support. in the bios make sure xmp profile is turned on. in windows make sure you installed the newest intel chipset drivers/mei drivers. alos make sure the sound and network drivers the newest ones are installed. in windows power management set the monitor never to turn off. under usb and network devices make sure windows is set not to power them down.
