Something that is bothering me...

Hey everyone. I want to make sure my PC is fine.

A few days ago I tried to overclock my PC and I turned up the clock thing to 3.8ghz (instead of 3.2) and when I went into windows, stress testing only took it to about 60 degrees max but I'm worrying:

Did I shorten the life of any of my components? Temps are fine now but I'm scared my socket or CPU won't have a long life anymore.

I reset the overclock again back to defaults in the bios and not intending to touch it again. Should it be ok?

Pentium G3258. On speed fan all my other temps it displayed didn't go higher than 40-50 degrees. Not sure which one is socket but you sure it didn't get too hot to melt or something? (Or just shorten it's life)
