Hey everyone,

My friend has some issues in his PC, he just wrote to me

"I am having a problem since one year ...I searched many sites ...took my pc to the shop ....posted in the group but no once could help me.

My pc specs are.
i3 2120
16gb ram
GTX 750ti..
Dell 1366×768 monitor.
I don't use ups as my pc is connected to inverter....
I connect my GPU and monitor with the help of VGA to HDMI adapter.

Since I bought the GPU... Whenever I play high graphics game like The Witcher 3 ...Hitman 2016 ....Dying light....Watch dogs ..Watch dogs 2...Ac syndicate and more....and all of these games I use to play on high mid setting with my native resolution. When I play these games my monitor just blinks after 5-10minutes....then again after 5minutes...it blinks and turns off permanently ..while the PC is on ..all fans are moving and the game is still on.

Whenever I play these games it happens ..but when i play low graphics game. Like WWE, Fifa it never happens

It happens with me since 1 year can you tell me where is the problem ..and the temperatures are all fine.. Its not overheating problem.

It happens only if I play games on ultra"

Can you guys tell me what exactly is wrong with his PC? He will be really thankful if you guys help me fix his PC

I'll ask him and let you know

Have you tried using another power supply?

I've had a friend with a similar problem, but on a laptop.

Turned out his battery was broken, we found this solution because it wouldn't happen when he plugged it into an electrical socket.

He gave me some more details
"One more thing I forgot to say you .7 years ago i bought my pc ...and I just upgraded my GPU and ram ..my motherboard is GDG8Y dell motherboard.. I added a 750ti to it and two 1866mhz ram ...is it harmful for it ? Can it be a reason?

Seriously I am confused ..I will take one single step ..and money will be wasted

Its really annoying ..for this problem ..I wasn't able to complete many games"

Hello Ethan,

I have looked online, but I can't find the specifications of this motherboard from a somewhat reliable website.
Do you have the specifications by any chance?

A possible problem that your friend is having might be the motherboard being too weak.

This is what I had when I paired a mini ITX board with a GTX970 and an i5-4460.
My PC wouldn't only have screen flickering, but it would just randomly shut off at times.

Well if the motherboard is an issue.. I'll ask him to replace his motherboard.. He mentioned that he has been facing issues ever since he got his GTX 750 Ti..

Thank you so much for your help
