Starting yesterday, my monitor began blacking out briefly, for about 1-2 seconds. It was very intermittent, about every hour. Today, the blackouts happened more frequently, sometimes happening consecutively, and is also sometimes complemented by horizontal red lines or horizontal multicolored static lines. I know that it is not an issue with my display, as it is losing the hdmi signal rather than turnign off or just blanking out. I don't think that it is an issue with my psu, as it is gold standard and has about 150 watts more capacity than my computers estimated total wattage according to my pcpartpicker build. There is no stuttering on my computers part as well.

I do know that my computer doenst have good airflow, and will be installing some intake fans tomorrow, but im not sure that overheatign would be causign these problems, and even if it did, it still seems like it may be some permanent damage to my gpu. I'm mostly looking for other possibilities or methods to definitively find otu whats going on, because if my graphics card fails on me now, it will be a significant burden on me.

Update: I have started testing with a new hdmi cable and experienced another blackout, so that isnt the issue. I have noticed something: I only started having these issues when i started playing a new game, called Control. I never had these issues before playing this game, and this will take a little more testing but i dont think that these issues even start after a computer restart until i boot up this game.
