Question Something wrong with headphones.

I was just playing a normal game when all of a sudden I couldn't hear anything. I reconnected my headphones, checked updates for sound drivers and restarted. I can hear a little bit but mostly it's just 8-bit audio or some white noise/crackling. I switched headphones with my brother and nothing changed.

EDIT: When it happened my headphones name changed to "Speakers (CONEXANT USB AUDIO)"

have you restarted the system?
Windows can auto-correct driver mishaps like this sometimes.

if no good,
uninstall all current audio drivers and reinstall the latest package from the motherboard manufacturer.
