There's something wrong with my CD-ROM drive. I insert a CD, I try to click on the D: Drive icon from explorer, a message comes up
"D:\ is inaccessible; Incorrect Function".
As a result, I cannot view the contents of my CD.
However, one way to get pass this is by right-clicking the D: Drive icon, click on properties, then OK. Now I can view the contents of the CD.

But I do not like this since I cannot access the CD freely all the time, is there a solution to this problem ?

Thanks

I have an Athlon 1.2 with 256 RAM

MY CD-ROM is actually a Pioneer 8x DVD-ROM

I'll assume you have a Via based motherboard. If so try updating the 4in1 drivers to any reversion above 4.28.

If that doesn't work give me a complete breakdown of your system. Sound, Video, Motherboard Model(Very important), power supply, etc...

Blah, Blah Blahh, Blahh, blahh blah blahh, blah blah.
