I've had my gtx 1080 for 2 years which has been working great (and it still does), however a few weeks ago i had this issue for the first time: i booted my pc for the first time that day and i could hear every sound but see nothing on my screen, the monitor would not find any input, i tried restarting a few times with the same issue, then waited a few mins and try again and it worked. After a week it happened the same thing and then again after another week, then it happened all the last 4 days in a row and today i finally see what's going on: at first it looked like it was booting normally (saw the mobo loading screen) but then it loaded into a black screen where i could only see the cursor so i turned it off, plug the HDMI in the mobo while the DVI was still in the gpu and my monitor would only recognize the HDMI, i checked the device manager and my gtx 1080 was not recognized (i could see it in "hidden devices" saying it was not connected). After about 30 mins i reboot my pc and the gpu works again.
So to sum it up:
My gtx 1080 is not recognized when i first boot the pc, but if i restart after 15-30 mins it will be recognized.
Once it's recognized it will work just fine until the next day.
Does anyone know what the problem could be?
