Hi Guyz,

I need your help as my system does not detect SSD and HDD both sometimes and sometimes not while booting motherboard drivers and even on Bios.

Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds to remove the residual power only works for me, but need to do all the time.

Please help:
My system configuration is:
Gigabyte mobo: G31m-s2L
4 gb ddr2 ram
Nvidia 730
SSD samsung evo 250gb for operating system
Hdd WD black

Thanks herrwizo for the prompt response.
I have already replaced the data cables on both drives, as well as using different SATA ports and motherboard bios are latest, even they are beta.

I am also confused.
Please suggest.
Also, why it always work when I press power on button for 10 second before plugin to power source.

Definitely a motherboard issue, I have seen it several times. It is quite rare, but happens with some configurations, and as you said - the only way to fix it is to cut the power for 10 secs to remove all the resudial power on the mobo components. I still have one board like this at work - luckily, it fails to recognize disks only once every 20 or 30 power-on attempts - but it still happens and is sometimes driving me nuts. Latest bios as well. Have tried everything, but as far as I can see - I can only replace the mobo to fix that.

You should never update your motherboard BIOS with a Beta version.

Beta versions are for experienced users who are totally capable of dealing with any issues caused by BIOS bugs.

I can't help you with getting rid of the Beta version.
