Hello.

As the title says, I'm having a strange problem: I have a USB keyboard with backlight which is connected to a powered USB 3.0 hub, and the lights of the aforesaid keep blinking (one blink every 5 minutes or so) even if I power off the power strip.

With this said, I think that the main culprit is the psu of the hub; for some reason, it keeps some residual power and keep feeding all the USB ports...This is what I think, maybe there's another explanation, like the motherboard or the psu of the computer, but I don't know... What do you think?.

Hello, thanks for the response.

What it happens it that the backlight of the keyboard doesn't power off; it is one of those keyboard with multiple colour leds, and if I set the backlight to yellow and I power off the computer, the backlight returns to it default colour, green, but it doesn't goes off.

I have seen this type of behaviour before, but what I haven't seen is a hub sending residual energy to a device even with its PSU disconected from the electric outlet.
