This happened a few times, once when installing apps and having the browser open, once while extracting a .rar and browsing and another while installing Windows updates.

Last time this happened exactly like so, did a complete fresh OS install, followed by running a few .reg files, uninstallation of pre installed Windows apps, configured a few settings for Windows, installed motherboard and GPU drivers, connected to the internet and clicked on "check for updates" and when Windows had updates the second I clicked on "Install" the system froze with the mouse disappearing for about 2 seconds then it came back.

followed by running a few .reg files,
Could you elaborate on this? I wouldn't tamper with the OS after a clean install. Speaking of clean installations, did you install the OS in offline mode?

Make and model of your mouse?

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU:
CPU cooler:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

These are the registry edits that I run (except for highlighted) after doing a fresh OS install:

Looking at the Device Manager there are 2 "unknown device" it turned out I had to install SteelSeries GG for that so this matter is probably due to this application not being installed.

Will update later if otherwise.
