son formatted seagate ext ss dive

My son formatted my seagate STBX1000100 external ss drive. Now I can't see it when I click on pc, doesn't appear with drives. device manager shows an external drive but gives no info when r or l ckicked. Seatools sees it and reports it is healthy. If pc turned off, drive removed, pc on drive plugged in no added device message. Speccy sees 931GB Seagate Expansion USB Device (USB (SATA)). Belarc sees eagate Expansion USB Device [Hard drive] (1000.20 GB) -- drive 1, s/n NA4GBJGS - that is the correct serial number. yes I should have backed it up to 4 more backup drives - I don't do cloud. Help anyone?
