Sony a6000 lens recommendations

Hi all,

Just got a sony a6000 with the 16-50 mm kit lens and was wondering what types of lenses would be good and what specific lenses for each type.

I found these different lenses doing some research. The last one that I posted was what is recommended as the first lens to get for someone who just got the camera. I didn't know if there are types of lenses I need that I didn't list or some superfluous ones that I did list. Also if you have recommendations for other lenses in these categories let me know.

Also, I mostly do portrait photography, but will be going to Ireland in May, and wanted something for landscapes and just cool shots overall.

What is your budget going to be like and do you need OSS?

Portrait: Sigma 56mm F1.4 DC DN for best image quality or Sony E 50mm F1.8 OSS if you need OSS.

Landscape: Sigma 16mm F1.4 DC DN is one of the most popular for good reason.

Telephoto and all around: Sadly that 55-210mm is the only Sony APSC option for telephoto and in my opinion it's not very good. For telephoto and all around I'd recommend the Sony E 18-135mm F3.5-5.6 OSS. If you crop the image at 135mm to the size of the 55-210mm at 210mm you'll get the same level of detail. It's also significantly sharper than the 16-50mm kit lens. It is a bit expensive for what it is though.

Unfortunately if you need more telephoto reach you will have to spend more and get those full frame telephoto lenses.
