Hi dear Sony and XP users,
I'm having the same problem as many of you have in getting my Sony digital
DV camcorder recognized by and working together with Windows XP Professional.
In my case it concerns a Sony DCR-TRV16E camera. Of course I tried all the
obvious recommendations like changing cables, trying different IEEE1394 ports
of different cards and what not. Having read the problems reported on this
newsgroup I have the feeling that this is not a specific problem but a more
general one that needs to be resolved by either Sony or Microsoft. What
bothers me is that at both ends no serious solutions are offered in the form
of driver updates or patches. My questions therefore is "Do Sony and
Microsoft care at all and recognize this as a serious problem for their
users?". Is someone aware of a good solution to this problem or does someone
know when or if Sony and Microsoft will solve the problem eventually?
Cheers,
DaVinci
