Sony Playstation 3D Display blacks out occasionally

I use the Sony PS 3D TV as my primary display for my PC (connected via HDMI) and every once in a while it will black out for a couple of seconds then come back. I can't figure out why this might be happening. FYI, I'm not using any 3D features.

Try a new HDMI cable. I get this with cheap cables on my 4K TV.

Hmmm, come to think of it I don't think I ever tried switching out the cable. I'll give that a shot as soon as I can and see if it helps. Thanks!

Well, I tried a *different* HDMI cable (in fact, it's a Playstation cable) but it didn't fix the problem.

I haven't purchased a brand new cable just to try on this, though.

This is still an issue. It's been particularly troublesome because it will black out while I'm gaming and can really cause me problems in that regard. I hope someone can offer some more advice on this one...
