Hi!

Which one of these two TV would you suggest to buy - Sony XG8505 or XG8096? First one is smaller, but it has Dolby vision, but other is 65 inch. Is it worth to pay for Dolby vision or just get bigger TV?

2,5 meters
Based on that you will really not want more than a 50 inch TV. Ideally your sitting distance is 2-3X the diagonal of the TV. In your case 2.5 meters is about 100 inches, so your ideal TV size is between 33 inches and 50 inches. The reason is really any larger that 2x your eyes have to pan across the screen so a 65 inch would be way too big. You could use a 55 inch as that wouldn't be too much more than the top of the ideal range.

All that said depending on the cost I would look at something other than Sony. The first TV you listed has an IPS panel so it it doesn't have the same contrast ratio. You can probably get a Vizio P Series Quantum for the same price as the Sony, or if you really wanted something amazing the 55 inch OLED runs $1300 from Vizio. I personally have an LG C8 OLED and it is amazing.

Thanks! I was thinking the same about 65 inches. I considered buying 65 inch tv, just because my friend bought 75 tv, which is probably to big for his apartment. I havent heard about Vizio. Are they good? I wanted to buy Sony, because I had Sony before and picture quality was good. Is Sony overpriced? Yes, I have seen OLED tv and the look stunning, but unfortunately 1300 is more than Im planning to spend.

Vizio is a good tier 2 TV manufacturer. Tier 1 is LG, Sony, & Samsung.
The 55" M-Quantum is $550 https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/vizio/m-series-quantum-2019 If you get that TV make sure it is not the M7-Quantum
There is also the 65" P-Quantum for $1000, but would be very big with the distance you are sitting. However, it does have a native 120Hz refresh rate panel. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/vizio/p-series-quantum-2019

Be careful with Visio. Many of their models have removed the over-the-air tuner. If you can physically see a model, check for a coax connector. Otherwise check the datasheet carefully.

Does OLED tv have problems? I heard that if theres for examble static logos, it burns. Is this a good tv - LG OLED55B9SLA?
OLED TVs can develop burn-in from static images. However, it is much less of a problem with the newer TVs than the older ones. The LG B9 is a very good TV https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/lg/b9-oled
https://www.cnet.com/reviews/lg-oled55b9pua-review/ You will want to have the colors calibrated though. As the owner of an LG C8, that's the 2018 flagship TV, I can tell you the OLED is amazing. From amazing viewing angles, to infinite contrast ratio, to lightning fast pixel response time you cannot beat it.

Thanks for information. I think I will just wait and get the LG.

I have played many hours of Zelda Breath of the Wild and other video games on my C8 over the last year and don't have any burn-in so far. Just like with my old plasma I do watch TV and movies on it a lot as well. That helps keep the screen fresher as well. If I do a 10hr straight gaming secession and then go to bed I run the pixel refresher. Otherwise if I game for a while and then watch a couple hours of TV that does kind of the same thing.

I know I am pretty late in this but when you asked this question, even Sony X950G TV models were there in the market and they were better around the same cost. So I think Sony TVs definitely have an edge over the LG TVs in the market. It's probably a difference of the Japanese vs the Korean technology and the TVs I am referring to ate powered by MediaTek SoC. In fact, the new Sony TVs are quite powerful and have quite a cinematic viewing experience. So perhaps Sony is a better option the TV section. But now you have lots of other choices as well.
