Vaio aio black screen

I have a sony vaio pcg-2n3p and it displays nothing, i have reseated the ram, tried one stick at a timr in one slot and even replaced the cmos battery, still no display.

Pls help

Solution
The screen's backlight may have quit working - - in that case a new backlight will have to be fitted.

With the computer running, shine a torch on to screen and have a careful look at it close up. If you can see a faint image then it definitely needs a new backlight.

If you can't see a faint image, then either the graphics chip has failed or it's a connection issue.

No, it has to be a backlight compatible with that screen/PC model, it will be the correct voltage & have the correct connection for the backlight cable. You can't stick any old LED strip in there!

It's sourcing the correct backlight that's the hardest bit - - do some googling and see what comes up.

I did it (lol) and i have it connected to an external powersupply because when i hooked it up to anything else it didnt start. It doesnt look good but its good enough. Thanks for the help!
