A day or two ago, I was using my laptop just fine in 1024x768 (which is the native resolution of the laptop,) I recently just received it so I was just busy trying to make it not slow and unusable, but for a Pentium III it's fast-ish when it's not running more than one program. Anyway, I thought I should also mention the screen is totally smashed (no I did not break it I found the computer as it was,) so currently the only way I can use it at the moment is by connecting an external monitor to see more than just a few icons on the desktop on the original screen. I have a few theories on how the resolution lock happened, 1. I was playing The Sims 1 in 800x600, but usually when you quit a fullscreen game the screen glitches a little bit and then goes back to the resolution you were using. But this laptop is in very poor condition so it likes to randomly shut off for no reason so maybe that had something to do with it. Only reason I'm posting here is to see if I'm just missing something. And when I say stuck, I actually mean the little notch thing that you click and move to make it not 800x600 to 1024x768 in the control panel display settings it will not move.
