Sony Vaio Notebook PCG-5P4L Won't Start

Suddenly won't boot, eben safe mode send you to the repair window. What will booting with the original Restore Discs I created do? Will I lose all of my data files?

If you use the Restore disks, yes it will wipe the drive and restore it back to the status it was when you made the restore disks.

An option would be to buy a new hard-drive for it and use that to install Windows on. As long as the original hard-drive is not bad, you can place it into an external enclosure and copy your files back.
