Sony Vaio "Operating System Not Found"

Hey Guy's,

So I've grown sick of windows 8, and I just really want to get windows 7 on my Vaio SVE14AG18L.

The problem is, every time I try to boot my copy of windows 7 ultimate from the CD, I get an error saying " Operating system not found".

I've tried enabling legacy boot, disabling secure boot, and I've changed the boot order to primarily boot from optical drive/usb, and I even took boot from HD out of the boot list.

No matter what I do, I keep getting the same message. I had the same issues when I tried to boot Ubunto from usb.

Does anyone have any idea what the issue is here??

Is it a legit copy?

Not so legit... but it has worked before, and the Ubunto had the same reaction.

I read that this is a pretty common problem with the Vaio's, but no one seems to have a definite solution.
