Question Sony VAIO - PCG-61611L Black screen of DEATH - No Post

Removed Battery, Turned Off and ON - No improvement
Connected another screen via VGA connection (Screen active on another laptop)
Pulled RAM & Switched it, no difference
Pulled Hard Drive and installed it back to make sure all the connections were Okay
Power supply is Okay
When turning ON the laptop, Power Button come on but the "three" lights blinks once but never stay "ON", the only thing that is turning ON is CD drive

We suspect the Motherboard has gone "BAD", requesting any assistance that can confirm that.

Seconding your theory about the board but there's no easy way to confirm that without having the system.

As long as you're in a region where you can easily order a replacement without breaking the bank, the easiest way to confirm will be to test a new board - you don't have to install it, just run the essentials without re-assembling the whole laptop.
