sony vaio problem

the brightness of my laptop doesnt increase and decrease after i installed windows 8 on my sony vaio PCG-51511L ! could anyone suggest me what can be done to sort out the problem?

Did you check Sony's site for Windows 8 drivers for that particular laptop? They often have power management and display management software that will do what you want.
