Hello,
I want to replace the hard disk it has (Toshiba SATA-150, 100GB, model MK1032GSX). Can i put a SATA 3, 320GB or i must put someone with same specs? Finaly, what hard disc i can use..?

The laptop's hard drive controller is the first generation SATA (now called SATA-150). However, it's compatible with a SATA II or SATA III hard drive but the drive will only perform at SATA-150 speed as dictated by the laptop's drive controller.

The hard drive capacity limit for that laptop model is 500GB.

phill22,
Thanks for your replay.
So if i understand correctly i can use a hdd like this one "Western Digital 320GB Scorpio Blue SATAII 5400RPM 2.5IN 8MB" with no problem except the performing speed..?

We tested a Hitachi 320gb, SATA II and we fint out that unfortunately there is a limit from BIOS, 137GB.
Does anybody know if there is an update for this model bios because i cant find something at the internet and Sony service here is not so cooperative..
