I would rather have RAID 1 for redundancy and get rid of the OS. I hope Nvidia has their chip reliability problem fixed. I would hate to have to pay for a new board in one of these.

It would be interesting to know what Brand of SSDs are used. One would think even 2 SSDs in RAID 0 would already be at the SATA 3Gb/s limit. Unless it is SATA 6Gb/s which seems to soon to be implemented into a laptop.

1920 x 1080 in a 13.1 inch screen? 3.2 pounds? Definitely worth considering, though I've known people with bad issues with Vaio's, so never had one. However, that was over 6 years ago. It would be good to know the types of SSD drives they got in there, and some real benchmarks including battery life. Still, as much as I love portability (5 hours on my 1200 x 800 14-inch screen), I need at least a 1920 x 1080 screen resolution (1920 x 1200 is perfect, but you get what you can with anything below 17" screens).

The 3Gb/s limit doesn't apply if they plug each of the 4 SSDs into seperate sata ports.

I think this fails because of a HD screen with no Blue Ray. Kind of like a Ferrari with a 4 cylinder. All that potential, but crippled with the lack of hardware.

Not saying it's good or bad, I just don't understand the logic behind such a small screen with 1920/1080 resolution. Can one even read anything on that? Or is it strictly for games/video playback? I would appreciate constructive answers. Thank you.

I wouldn't want 4 pricey SSDs in Raid1. Not much good being mirrored that many times, if anything other than what is offered I'd take Raid10 for both speed and reliability!

I think this is more marketing than real performance. The ssds they'll put in there are surely not going to be intels, I doubt the vertex either.

I'd take 2 x25-ms or just wait a little while longer and put one vertex 2 in there

ok, how does 1920 x 1080 in a 13.1 inch screen help? especially with a low end GF330 vga card?

i cant read on a 15.4" 1680x1050 screen, let alone 1920x1080.... and selecting lower resolution makes everything look fuzzy.
