Sony viao fan is ok but not spinning

Sony viao vgn laptop is working but fan is not spinning. It works normal for 4-5 minutes n than laptop starts to hang. Plz help

Well Sir, the fan is there for what? remove the heat as the electronics heats up, no fan, can't remove heat, laptop self-preservation electronics shuts it down before it starts burning.

I suggest reset BIOS configuration to default, and if that doesn't work, u will need to have it repaired.
