I've not heard of anything like that.

And in reality, what the shortcut points to often has little or nothing to do with the 'size' of the overall application.
The shortcut might point to a very small exe, which is backed up by many GB of the rest of the application.

Looking through the properties of a shortcut, I'm not seeing any value that relates to the size of the target file.

Right click on Properties of a shortcut - Details - Remove Properties And Personal Information. There are all the information about the target file.

In Windows Explorer there is column called Link Target, but nothing about target size.

I should've been more specific with my problem. My goal is to find all the unwatched films stored on three hard drives and sort them by size. Moving to one location would be inconvenient because I would have to change directories of many files seeded in Torrent.
