Short history. Booted up pc went and ate breakfast, came back. Kaput. Wouldn’t boot. Started at psu and did the paper clip test, ran and powered case fans. Replaced mobo next, still no post. Replaced processor, finally success. However I shut it down to connect everything else and on the second boot I heard a short and smelled something burning. Assuming it was the cpu. Returned both mobo and cpu and will be receiving new ones soon. Not sure if it’s the psu that’s faulty or the gpu at this point. Also really not looking forward to returning new hardware if it fries again. Unfortunately I do not have an old rig to test any components. Anyone with more experience than I do have any advice or speculations on the matter? Anything’s appreciated.
