I'd advocate buying the R9 270 rather than the x. You can overclock them both to about the same speeds. Why pay more for the "x" which is basically the factory overclock? Could save you some bucks.

Yes, your system is compatible with that card or should I say that card is compatible with your system. Don't follow Ibechief and go for that r9 270-- go for the r9 270x as it has between 8-10 % better performance and between 15-$20 price difference. Go for the Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 2GB GDDR5

And, the Cooler Master V650 power supply will more than handle those parts.

I'm not saying one way is wrong or right. I'm only saying that my advice based on your rig is that you save the money and buy the standard version. Overclock it to the same levels in 10 min, save 50 bucks. If you are not interested in overclocking then you probably don't need to worry about that small difference in speed anyway. Gaining a small speed increase for 33% increased cost.

If you don't have the technical experience to overclock your GPU, there are loads of users who can help. A small overclock wont risk your system and will give you the same power as the more expensive model. Just my feelings on the subject.

If you absolutely don't want to overclock your system then I'd recommend looking at the cards as they stand. Do you want to spend that much more on a card that gives such a small increase in performance? If so then I'd say the 270X is your best bet. But if you want to get the most bang for your buck, the 270 is a perfectly reasonable card that will save you in the wallet.

If you want the best bang for your buck 270
If you want performance without cost playing a factor. You may consider jumping up to a 280, your power supply is adequate for it. The price is almost the same and you end up with a better card.

It is never as simple as some users make it out to be. You just need to weigh in your head what you are most interested in getting from your graphic card. Then consider why you are willing to pay. Keep in mind that the higher you go the more money it cost per % increase in performance. Find your ratio for that, and you are golden.

By the way I own two R9 270X cards. I'm not trying to hate on them, I'm only trying to get you to consider that there are other options. Buy what you want, not what people blindly tell you to buy. It is after all your money and not theirs.

sure the Gtx 760 should give you an even better performance. It will 1366*768 resolution easily and also better.. Full 1080 x 900 etc.. If you are considering that card-- just to let you know it will be a little more expensive than the r9 270x but the benefit you will get is ''better performance''
If you do consider it, get the EVGA GeForce GTX760 Dual Superclocked ACX Cooler 2GB 256-Bit GDDR5
