i am sorry if i am a bit vague, its first time i used a forum for help.
my grandson discovered ghost busters he is 6yrs old, asked me if i could build a ghostbusters proton pack. I looked at various sites and to cut a long story short built it with running lights etc, the problem im having is i wanted to add sound to it, i obtained a sound module that contains all the sound effects for the backpack based on the film. when i connected it to a speaker and the 9v battery the sound from the speaker is very quiet. with the instructions for the sound module it said that an audio power amp can be connected to the device to increase the volume. What i need to know is, do i connect a power amp between the sound module and the speaker, or could this harm the sound module. i know very little about electronics and could do with some advice. I hope this makes sense.

Solution
Yes, an audio amp would go between the sound module and the speaker. If you had links to the sound module someone could double check this.
