Question Sound bar suddenly started working again?

So my dad has had a Sony HT-CT370 sound bar for a few years that just recently broke. It would not turn on. He left it unplugged for a day or so, and it still didn't work, so he bought a new one and gave the old one to me. As soon as I got home with the broken one, it started working again without me doing anything.

Is there a reason why it would suddenly start working again after being unplugged for a week? If so, would it be a good idea to return the new sound bar and keep the old one? Or will it just stop working again?

I realize that there isn't much to go off of here but any help would be appreciated.

My thought is that there is something loose inside the old sound bar. Versus "broke".

And when you took it home the vibrations, bouncing of the move caused it to "reconnect".

The next bump may disconnect again.

Keep the new sound.

Enjoy the old sound bar.

If it stops working again then wiggle, jiggle and tap. Especially cables and plugs. Could work again.

And, if that fails you can consider unplugging it and opening the soundbar up to look for the loose connection.
