I need some help with sound blaster connect 2 software. Yesterday it stopped responding and didn't even open on my Kratos S5 sound system. It worked almost perfectly until now. The program opens if I switch my speakers off, but closes if I turn them on. I though that it's my pc's fault, so I reinstalled Windows 10, but still no luck. It sound like there's a problem with the drivers maybe? I'm not sure. Thanks for any help.

Solution
Solved it by asking the creative support team about this. They replied that I should try resetting the speakers by pressing the LED button and holding it until the RGB on the satellites turn to their default rainbow state. I didn't actually know that the LED button could reset the speakers :D.

Look in Reliability History for audio related error codes and warnings. Event Viewer may have captured some error as well. I.e., what may have happened when the Connect 2 software stopped responding.

Since you reinstalled Windows 10 the "history" will be limited but still worth a look I think.

See what you can find.

Windows 10's built in troubleshooters may find and fix something.

If nothing is readily apparent then go to the manufacturer's website, download, reinstall, and reconfigure the drivers and software.

I went back to the manufacturer's website and found the first (Sound blaster connect) version of the software and it worked, but it's a bit buggy. Sadly there are no older versions of the Sound blaster connect 2 that I could test out. And I still don't understand if that's a problem from my side or the manufacturer's side.

I can't thank you enough! I had the same exact problem happening and couldn't find the solution, I even contacted Creative and asked them for help providing logs from setupapi and Event Viewer, they thought it might be the antivirus but even on a full reinstall of Windows 10 I couldn't get it to work. I had no idea there was a reset button on the subwoofer! You've totally saved my sanity thank you!
