Sound blaster Z problems.

It seems as though every time i boot my pc, i have to re-select the headphones in the sound blaster Z control panel, and any programs that use my mic (such as TS) i have to reselect my mic aswell. This happens every time i turn on my computer. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Reinstall the soundblaster software. It may be that the default os settings are getting in the way. To verify this, go into the device manager and see if the soundblaster driver is listed under sound

Try changing it via the sound playback devices menu (lower right icon on desktop). right click your default device and Configure them. Maybe they are set for surround from the install?
