Sound Blaster ZXR asus rampage motherboard not always detected.

hello I have a problem with mu sound blaster ZxR sound card is does not work all the time I need to restart my windows 10 3 or 4 or 5 times to make it works again and it gave me this "the current selected audio device is disabled not present not supported by the application" windows 10 please help me

Do you have the latest BIOS? It might be hardware is newer than BIOS - which Rampage is it? They are up to version 6 now

Which version of win 10 are you on?
right click start
choose run...
type winver and press enter
current version is 1709 Build 16299.192

If you are on that, there are problems with the creative drivers and Win 10

It certainly is a problem. I think I figured out the how to. After the upgrade go into your 'legacy install device' mode. Now add a Sound device already on your machine at the junktion where the failing device is residing. Not that during the install you may get a blue screen yet, it will be installed afterwards. Once a Creative WDM driver is installed either you'll have to reinstall the driver pack which will now recognize your X-Fi card again or: magically it is already there and working! Change your interface if there still is no sound and you're done!
