Sound broken after changing board

Changed from Gigabyte Z170 to Asus X299. Sound is now weird while gaming. I hear a lot of base and I can't even play anything anymore... Tried changing sound settings and can't get it back to normal. Any help?

Did you make sure to install proper sound drivers for your new board?

Fixed it by doing this:
ROG Realtek HD Audio Manager -> Sonic Studio -> Launch Sonic Studio -> Sonic Studio Effects -> Off

You did do a complete wipe of the boot drive and reinstall of Windows right ?

Yes, brand new install. If you read my previous post, I was able to solve it.

I did ... the reason I asked was.... if ya didn't, that wuda been just the 1st of your problems. Did ya do this ? Highly recommended.

Turn off Windows ability to install Hardware drivers
