Sound Card Comparison

Let me give you a heads up...

You should WAIT before buying any sound cards right now because some of them have issues with Windows 10. I have a Soundblaster X-Fi and it works great but when I tested out Windows 10 the card had some serious issues.. meaning... it would NOT work. I had limited sound with the generic driver that Windows 10 installed but when I tried playing a few games... it was a mess and sometimes stopped working.

At this point, there's no word on whether Creative will come out with new drivers for Windows 10 or just tell everyone to buy new Win10 Compatible cards.

but won't they have to create new drivers, or risk losing half their customers due to frustration? and the people who don't have the money for a new sound card ?
*opens microwave, puts in popcorn* this is gonna be good lol

Dude... this is Creative.. it's happened many times with them.. they have great cards but their position in the past has been... the card WORKS for the O/S it was designed to support. That's like Microsoft refusing to allow new version of DirectX or Internet Explorer to work on earlier/previous versions of Windows even though it could easily be done.

Like I said.. if I were you.. I would wait until you see a card that specifically says it supports Windows 10... assuming you plan on upgrading to that. If you plan to stick with Windows XP - 8.1 ... then you shouldn't have any problems buying a card now.

alright, that's cool. do you think HT | Omega would do the same or not?
