Sound card okay no audio

For some reason my sound has stopped working on computer. The speakers work, everything shows as working under the device manager and realtek audio manager, I doublechecked to be sure nothing was muted....I am at a total loss. I cannot play music, videos or even hear window's sounds. The only sound I get is when running a test on the speakers, etc.

This sounds familiar. It could be an issue with Adobe Flash. Do you have Adobe Flash? If so, try and update it and see if that corrects the issue. If not, try and re-install the driver from realtek's website.

Buwish - thanks for replying. I followed your suggestion re: adobe. It seemed to resolve the issue. thanks so much for you help, sure do appreciate it!
