Sound card to PCI-E 16x slot

I got a problem that my motherboard only got 1 pci e 1x slot. I used that slot for placing my network card because I am not able to pull the cables to the living room. My motherboard is ASUS Z87-K. So my question is this. If I place my sound card to the pci e 16x slot, will I bottleneck/decrease performance of my graphics card(gtx 770). I know some motherboards will share 8x if two slots are occupied. If so, can I set to use a custom amount in my BIOS or any other solution. Please help!!!

You can put it in the dark brown X16 slot that is wired for X4 speed with out affecting the GPU.

What do you mean by dark brown? Is it in my mobo?
