I think I’m just one of those screwed people!
But some of you smart dudes have helped me be for, so here we go!
Card: Audigy2 ZS Platinum
------------------------------------------------------------
Control Panel / System Properties / Device Manager /
(-) ~ (?) Other Devices…. PCI Multimedia Audio Device.

>Properties / PCI Multimedia Audio Device Properties,
(Device Status) >>>
The drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28.)

Reinstall Driver / Update Device Driver Wizard > Next /
~ Specify a location: (F:\Audio\Drivers\WDM.
------------------------------------------------------------
Disc: Audigy2 ZS, Installation and Apps CD.
File is there but Windows 98es will not recognize it?

First I installed the Card then at startup I installed the Drivers & Apps.
Restart, set up the speakers and such. All was good!
Then I started up UT 2003 Setup the audio and played…
The sound was working fine… Then it started to brake up.
I stopped and rechecked Sound Setup tried different settings, it got worse.
I restarted the computer, restarted the game -#$%^*&@ NO SOUND?
So I checked Device Manager, NO SOUND DEVICE?
I tried all the other ways (^, Updated Audigy2 - 98se Drivers, Re-Windows,
Re-DrX 9b, other WDM Drivers, etc) to get the drivers installed again.
AREN’T WORKIN!
------------------------------------------------------------
System:
P3 800mgz.
Nvidia GeForce4 Ti 4600
Old Sound Card: SB Live. No problems.
512mgz SDRam
MoBo Intel flipchip (?) got from friend when other crapped out.
Win 98se (all updates).
DrX 9b.
------------------------------------------------------------
I’ve looked at lots of message forums and found that lots of other people are having similar problems with WDM drivers for Audigy cards using 98se or XP.

Do you have any ideas?
Needless to say, I would be so Happening!
I have new UT 2.4k & Deus Ex 2 just sittin there in the packages waitin!

What type of speakers do you have? Maybe the card is installed but you just don't have the settings right, thats what was wrong with mine. I have 4.1 speakers and the setting were for something I didn't have, I changed it to 4.1 and everything worked.
