Hi!

I was recently looking at a new headset, and choose the Sennheiser PC350SE, which is an 150 ohm headset, and now i'm looking to get an sound card which can power these 😀

I was looking at the ASUS Xonar DG or DGX, (Don't know which to choose), as i can see they are pretty good to the price, but what if i want to pay a little more for a better sound card?

Currently i'm using onboard audio, my mobo is an Sabertooth 990FX R2.0

You have the same motherboard audio as I do, so despite some people saying an onboard card would sound the same I guarantee you can do better.

Mine is the Auzentech X-Fi Forte which you can't buy however now.

As far as I can tell the Asus Xonar cards should be a slight improvement over the ALC892 audio chip you have. Going above this the cost goes up a lot but i'm not sure that the difference is very noticeable to the average person.

CONNECTIVITY is also a problem. Many sound cards only have one set of outputs. Also, if you use a sound card the FRONT PANEL audio jack can't be used. So you're going to have to think about how that's going to work every time you add or remove your headphones as it can be a hassle.

I don't need a headset 😛
I just need a new sound card with an headphone AMP :)

Or something so i can power the PC350SE :)

Okay, so i got the G4ME Zero for Christmas! Yey 😀

But i'm looking at the Sound Blaster E1 so i can take the Great sound with me :)

As i See the E1 should be good enough? :)
