sound cracking and stops

i have an acer laptop.while i am playing music speakers starts to cracking the sound and it stops .but when i insert my headphone to audio jack and remove sound will come .

my wife's acer laptop does this but it's about 7yrs old

There's loads of people have the same issue with Acer laptops.

There's a bunch of different 'potential' solution if you google it.

I've tried everything, even a format and re-install of windows and ended up deciding it's the speakers or onboard audio that have just become faulty or failed.

You have an Acer laptop, that's your problem. In all likelihood the hardware is starting to fail and will need to be replaced.
