Sound Cuts Out

Sometimes when I'm playing a game, the sound just cuts out. It normally happens in CSGO, which is the only game I can fix it in without restarting. The only way I know to fix it in CS is to go into audio settings, and mess with the sound output. The only problem is, most games don't have audio output settings. So every other game I have to restart if I want sound.
